Stephen is a Musical Director, conductor and pianist based in London. He was born in Middlesbrough and is a graduate of the Royal College of Music.

He is currently Musical Supervisor of Kiss me, Kate at the Barbican Theatre and was recently Musical Supervisor and Musical Director of Anything Goes at the Barbican Theatre, London, and UK Music Supervisor of Oklahoma! (Wyndham's Theatre) and The King and I (UK Tour)

Stephen also conducted the highly-acclaimed Broadway transfers of The King and I at The London Palladium and the Dominion Theatre and An American in Paris at the Dominion Theatre and was the Musical Director of the Olivier Award winning revival of Crazy for You at the Novello Theatre.
